Pedro Liniers, a literature teacher, comes back to Madrid after his wife has just left him. Meanwhile, Aurora Villalba, came to Spain from Argentina, running away from the militaries, she has a special way of living her own way. Pedro wants to get back the job as a teacher through an old friend, Bruno Baena, who is the head master of the school. Aurora starts going to Pedro's classes. Pedro will become "El hombre de moda", very soon.

After a threat, a journalist stops publishing. His search for justice leads him to meet his destiny and a mythological being who takes care of the abandoned childhood.

The Argentine dictatorship kidnapped people who where thought to be part of communist guerrillas. This one in particular is the story of Telmo, a homosexual tailor living in a small town with his mother, whose house is suddenly invaded by one of these supposed guerrilla fighters, which he names Olaf to disguise his real identity. Turns out Telmo helps this guy hide from the military but it all gets complicated because he's currently working on the wedding dress of the daughter of the general who is chasing Olaf.
